Message from the VP: Guess what!
Karratha starts construction of our club’s 'NEW' synthetic grass
We will be shortly installing a special weave. This synthetic turf will be the first of its kind in Australia. It will enable our club to promote and actively contribute to being Water wise thus reducing our carbon footprint. No phosphates, nitrogen, weedkillers needed here!
Once completed our green will provide a consistent and true quality of bowling green as approved by Bowls WA and Bowls Australia. No green closures to mow, dress, plug. No phosphate residue on bowls. Less chance of allergic reactions. Brilliant!
Additional to the new turf, we are installing some shade which will provide 90% shading from the harmful rays of the Pilbara Sun.
Below after some rain and when we stopped watering it post contruction.
